Sounds like it was a great time. I kind of like the smaller, more intimate
rallys myself. I enjoy the biggies also, because you get to see so many
bikes, and those rallies usually attract dealers, etc. However, the smaller
ones, like Western NY, Ohio, Maryland, etc., are all nice friendly, intimate
rallies that are very relaxed and fun. I would have loved to have made it,
but my son decided to visit from Oklahoma for about 10 days, which included
the Ontario Rally. Hope you can duplicate the weather next year, and I'll
be there! Glad it was a good time for everyone.

Hi All,

Just got back from the Ontario Rally (aka the Canadian National). It was a
much better turn out this year (around 30) compared to last year (18).
Weather was much better too.

OK....so out of the 25 or so bikes that were there how many do you think
were Loopframes? I didn't do an official count but I think there were 7
there. Once again...not a bad showing.

Of note.....Tom Bowes graced the countryside with his incredible Cedar.
The
bike doesn't only looks nice but I was most impressed with his work on the
electrics. Specifically with his modification to the original CEV switches
and reworking the fuse blocks etc inside the headlight bucket. One thing
about going to these rallies...you get to see all the interesting things
people do to their bikes first hand.

By the way......he took best in show. I think he had every vote but one
(long story :-)) Another Loopframe ridden by Elisabeth Joy won long
distance
female. Looks like the Loops steal the show at rallies.

One final note. I wanted to thank Tom (I didn't get to at the rally) for
supplying the brats at the BBQ....and beers (mostly to me). We had this
screwy thing where the organizer supplied everything but the meat. Since
quite a few of us were too lazy and tired (mostly lazy) to go out and get
something Tom raced out and bought a bunch of them and chucked them on the
grill to be shared by all. Very cool.

I missed all of you that couldn't make it. Andy...you would have loved to
have sat in on our dinner convo with these two god looking blondes we met
at
the restaurant. The conversation was much better than we had at Cattaragus
:-). Dave I missed seeing you give Cedar a run for her money. Charlie.....
missed seeing you and the "sister" bike. D.J. your Eldo would have
complemeted the group of Loops nicely.

Well.....Aquila ran like a top for the 800 mile run. I hope all made it
home
safe and sound. I'll be looking forward to hearing how the National went.

Regards....Ian

p.s. Tom....how's Gary's shoulder. He took quite the dive this morning.
