Gentlemen,
After charging battery for only an hour the Ambo starts. Seems it's the
battery. Bob

Hey List,
My 69 Ambo won't start again. I left the battery tender off the bike.
Now
the starter was worked on last month with new brushes and a cleaning and I
repaired the solenoid myself. I think it's good. I tried to start the
bike
by jumping the contacts on the starter itself and it did not start so I
assume it is not the ignition, and not the ground from the battery that is
the problem. I have the bike back on the harger now. After the battery is
charged up I think it will turn the engine. If this is so should I assume
that all along I had a weak battery, another inheritance from my local
Guzzi
dealer, and just get another G.D. battery?
Hope you guys can help me (yet again) as my BMW friends are starting to
think that their bikes are better than mine!
Thanks.
Bob Hawkes (Still wearing the Guzzi purple heart with pride)

Hi all. Finally got my 73 Eldo done, turned out pretty good- it turns
alot of heads (not many Guzzis around in this neck of the woods). I have
some left over parts and accessories I want to sell. Where's a good
place to list Guzzi parts? I don't really go for ebay, I'd rather post a
price on my stuff. Maybe MGNOC is a good place? I've found the ibmwr
site to be good for selling Beemer parts.
Thanks for all the advice you guys gave me. Maybe I should send a pic of
my bike to loopframe.com. See ya.
