Rich,

Best way is to attach the tie downs from the handle bars forward to the
trailer hooks. Compress the shocks a bit as you tighten the straps but not
too much. I would also run a set of straps from the back frame to the rear
of the trailer. In essense you are making an "x" so that all forces put on
the bike are held by the straps.

When you get the bike home send me the serial number please.

Good luck....how far are you hauling the bike?

I'm picking up a '69 Ambo from Virginia next week.

I've rented a U-Haul motorcycle trailer and need to know the best way to
strap the bike down.

Any suggestions of what to use or avoid?
