This is not a problem. This is the reason we ride motorcycles.

A couple of weeks ago we tried fixing the problem: took the front wheel
off, I sanded the brake pads (still very thick) and reajusted the cables.
Results were marginal and have gotten worse.
The '69 I'm working on has horrible front brakes. I did the same thing,
no good results. After dialing in the brake cam actuator, I've come to
the conclusion that it's just lousy brake pads and will replace them.

I will not be riding my
loop, but will be on a modern red Triumph Tiger. Hope you still will want
to talk to me and I really look forward to seeing you and your wife at the
rally!
Hey, it's all the same wind we're riding in. I started out on a '68
Triumph 500 and eventually chopped a 650 Bonneville. They were great
bikes, I'd be interested in eyeballing the new ones.
