Gary,

Thanks for the offer.

I'm picking up the bike on this Wednesday, so I should have some more info
on what is wrong next weekend.

To be honest, I'd like to learn how to fix it myself. Half of the reason I
bought the bike is to work on it. I've found a shop close by that rebuilds
them, the one I used as a kid is closed.(Things change alot in 20 years)
But I'll use them as a last resort.

Instead, maybe you can give me some hints on what to look for in
troubleshooting the solenoid. I've cracked open regulators and worked on
generators on air cooled VWs years ago, but I've never looked into a
solenoid.

Thanks again for the offer to look at it. If all else fails I may take you
up on it.

BTW, what are you riding/fixing now that you've sold your Guzzis?

-Rich

Rich,
Do you know what is wrong with yours ? usually it is contacts on the
solenoid or something easy. If you want to send it to me I can probably
fix it for you. If I am unable (not likely)I will get an estimate from a
local rebuilder. He is good and usually very reasonable. If I fix it the
only cost to you will be parts and shipping.

'69 Ambo?

A used one might do in a pinch.

Thanks!
