I went through a regulator every couple of yrs for about 10 yrs old ford ie
harley, various other auto some put out 13v, not enough, and my gen
repairman finally talked me into a solid state reg for about $50 from the
Midwest compared to $25 or $30. He liked the adjustable part and promised
the vibration would never eat a reg again. Three yrs later I've not looked
at the charging sys. since. Of course I'm now expecting to eat my words,...
but so far so good. Bud
