Type I (beetle) or III(squareback/fastback) should work well being that a
type III generator is very interchangable with the loopframes.

Hi David,
Wouldn't the 412 be an alternator system? Type III (Fastback/Squareback) or
Beetle might be a better cross. On the generator belt, the NAPA #25 7300
(made by Gates) worked on my buddy's Bosch equipped Eldo, but not on Dave
Otis' Norine. Dimensions listed on the back of the sleeve are 25/64" x 30
5/8" or 9.5/10mm x 780mm. Cheers, Charlie.

Gee Bud, I was about to ask the list for an auto store cross for a
regulator. I asked the guy at R.S. Strauss for a VW 412 Reg just to see
what he would say. He is going to check tomorrow on that and the Gates
belt for my generator mentioned before.
