<P><BR>Hail fellow Loopers,</P>
<P>Sadly, both of the mounting hooks on the bottom of my left side cover have snapped off. What is the best way to fix this? Is there a way to do this with out ruining the paintjob? I'll braise if I must, but I'm looking to share your experiences. By the way, the riding weather in Washington, DC is primo. Too bad I have to work...</P>
<P>Many Thanks,</P>

<DIV></DIV>>Thank you Tom!

<DIV></DIV>>Actually, many people told me it was normal my drum brakes would not stop well
<DIV></DIV>>when I mentioned my braking capacities - that it was a critisizim of the bike
<DIV></DIV>>(too heavy for its brakes) when it came out. So I thought it was normal and
<DIV></DIV>>just was got used to keeping my distances and slowing down well ahead of
<DIV></DIV>>traffic lights.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>However, this summer I was riding with another eldo and he did an emergency
<DIV></DIV>>stop. He was ahead of me - good distance - we were going around 45 mph. I was
<DIV></DIV>>not able to stop, a car was behind and there was an obstruction on the right.
<DIV></DIV>>I managed to squeeze by on the left. My bike should have braked at least as
<DIV></DIV>>well as the other Eldorado.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>See you at Shreve!
