AHHH, seems as though it would be too soft of a material, but then again I
have pictures of Arm & Hammer runnin' through my head, but then that's after
what ever they do to it. Used the baking soda for cleaning battery terminals
and such but never heard being used in a blast cabinet
Interesting....

Well, I figured this might be good for a thread. Thanks for the
responses. Kev, I think they mean soda as in baking soda (sodium
bicarbonate, arm and hammer). It would be fairly mild and soluble in
water. Just don't load up your blast cabinet in humid weather : ).
I've used soda and elbo grease before; that does work pretty well.
So far, I've been cleaning out the combustion chamber with a brass
brush. Slllooooowwww. But it sure looks pretty when finished. I
thought a blast cabinet might speed it up. My machinist here said that
a light cleaning on the mating surfaces would actually help the gaskets
seat. Hmmm
Well, the little window I'm typing in is freaking out so I better post
now. Hope it works.

Cheers,
Jason
