Tim,

It is possible that the pully was mounted incorrectly...that being that the
timing marks are in the wrong position.

The simplest way to make sure the timing is right is to get the left
cylinder at TDC for the compression stoke. The first mark on the pully
should hit the little arrow on the case and the points should just be
opening.

I timed the Ambo initially like this and the bike started and ran fine.

Ian...good point on the ground, it is good. The coil also is good, as is
the associated wiring to the distributor.

Zerhackermann ......How can I initially check the timing? I understand
there can be some confusion on the various models, and the front pulley.
If this is true, how can I be sure I have the correct pulley?
