Hi Everyone
This past weekend was the last race of the season for "AHRMA". The race was
held at "Carolina Motorsports Park" in Kershaw, SC The track is a very nice
2.5 mile, 14 turn road coarse with a mix of fast sweepers & tight technical
sections.

There were three Guzzis there racing, Charlie Cole on his 750 Tonti frame,
Josef Brenner riding the "Stan's Moto Guzzi" spline frame & myself on a
loopframe V-700.

Charlie & Josef both had great races on Saturday, Charlie took 2nd riding a
vintage bike in the modern bike "Battle of Twins F3" class, 2nd in the
"Formula 750" class & a 1st in the very completive "Formula Vintage". Josef
walked away from the field winning both the "Battle of Twins" F1 & F2. I had
to settle for a 4th place in my class "Historic Production Heavyweight".

Sunday's races came & went with Charlie & Josef riding equal as well as they
did Saturday. Fortunately for me I found some motivation from somewhere &
was
able to trim a couple of seconds off my lap time & take second on Sunday.

With the season now over I can safely say the old Guzzi ran flawlessly,
every
race we entered we finished, in fact the only thing I did to the bike all
season was change the oil & check valve clearance. The solid handling of the
bike allowed me to beat some much faster bikes & with a few changes over the
coming winter hopefully the old bike will be back out there next year
running
a little faster.

As soon as I get a schedule for next year, I will keep the list posted.

Take care
Ken
