Hi Jim,
The problem may be not a lot of us ride two up on our Loops are far as I can
tell. Seems we're a bunch of "lone wolves." I rarely see couples arrive at a
rally or other event together on a Loop. If I ever find an agreeable female
passenger some research is in order! :-)
I have only my early '69 Ambo (just like a V700 with 54cc more) and short
rides on customers Eldos for reference, but the Eldos seem smoother and will
attain highway speeds more quickly and maintain speed on grades more easily.
I find myself going much faster than it seems I am on the Eldos, all the
cues of speed familiar to me on the Ambo are absent. Then again it could be
that my Ambo is long overdue for a freshening up.
As always the size (weight) of the passenger is a crucial variable. My 120
lb., 5'4" ex-wife hardly made any difference to the Mille GT I had back
then. But it sure made a difference to the 175 Sears Allstate a friend loned
me for a while! Later y'all,
