You can gain a bit more ground clearance if you hang off the bike
more...just like them racers do.

Been reading my David Hough books recently....

Bruce

'72 Eldo

You're right about that Bruce. I had to to exactly that trying to keep in
contact with Walt Spak on an SP1000, Bob Corfield on an SP1000, and Tom
Stricker on an SPIII coming back from the first Moto Guzzi Day in Angier two
years ago. They were scratchin' thru the Virginia and West Virginia roads
at a rapid pace, passing coal trucks and SUV's sometimes two and three at a
time in those blind turns. Hard for the Eldo to keep up with Wixoms, a
tankbag, and a windshield on it. Had to employ that Eddie Lawson Superbike
hanging off the inside of the bike strategy to corner with those guys.

You are not alone, I cant ride my Ambassador with the centerstand in
place

as it drags way to easily. Without the centerstand, the left side drags
the

sidestand & on the right the exhaust touches down.
