The easiest way to bypass is also the easiest way to restore if so
inclined. On the neutral indicator switch (Left side of trans just above
the starter ) you will find two wires. Thgere should be a black and a
green. CAREFULLY remove the nut without allowing the stud to turn,which
sometimes alters the switch setting. Now pull the black wire back thru
the boot put the green wire back on the stud replace and tighten nut.
The remaining black wire can be grounded under one of the switch
mounting screws and you are ready to start in any gear you desire !

71 does not have one and netural is easy to find on it. maybe its just
me and a new ride but netural is hard to find. any help anyone thanks.
