i think bobs' onto something here! in fact, remember the discussion about
doing the cali. nats from the east coast last winter? heck, i'm confident
that the 'ol eldo would do it as a matter of course. [all in a days work,
old man!] sure would be fun, pulling into a far away rally. [you rode all
the way from WHERE?? on THAT??] :>)
well, after the kiddos are growed up. sigh.........

Oh, you are JB! I just put these questions to the list on account of I have
heard a lot about BMWs being "The Tour Bike" on account of they are "so
reliable". It's not that I am jealous or anything ( yeah, sure) or sick of
hearing about it (right!) it's just that these old Loops are tough and I
want to hear of someone just going "out there" on a trip and really going
places, camping out etc just like the travel logues with the BMWs except
with Guzzi power; old Guzzi power. Some would say that most motorcyclists
gravitate to BMWs for traveling because they have a nich for being long
distance, what with the tour companies in Europe like Edelwiss using BMWs.
Or maybe it's that there are more BMW dealers in America than there are
Guzzi dealers, right? Yeah, that has to be right. Anyway just thought I'd
pass these thoughts along to the list to see if we could discuss this a bit.
Thanks, Bob Hawkes
