One of the reasons I got my first Loopframe, in 1970 was that I was in the
Navy in SoCal, and my Dad was up in the Bay area. I got real tired of riding
a 450 Honda that far. I went at least once a month, a little over a 1000
mile round trip on a weekend. So I looked for a better road bike, and found
my original Ambo....love soon ensued.
Now I ride my Ambo to out-of-state rallies, about 550 one way to Datil, all
in a day. At least once a month I do a 300 mile loop to get my wife both AZ
and CA lottery tickets. I often do it on a Sunday morning before going to
work.
Contrary to popular myth, the Loops are very reliable, and equally
important, easy to fix on the road.
