Yeah Tim, that's the thing I'm talking about it's that "popular myth" that
Loops are not reliable. Where the hell did that myth come from. If you ask
my wife she will tell you that it comes from experience because she has
listened to all my whining about my Ambo. But that was until I finally got
her, the Ambo, all straightened out.

I have had BMW guys call my Ambo an 'Ol girl' kind of patronizing me and the
bike. It's kind of a drag but then again they aren't having a relationship
with their bikes.

But last weekend an old Italian guy called my bike an "old girl' and added
'just like an old girl that's been around, she knows just what to do when
you throw yer leg over her'. Yeah, that's the idea! Bob

Great thread!
One of the reasons I got my first Loopframe, in 1970 was that I was in the
Navy in SoCal, and my Dad was up in the Bay area. I got real tired of
riding
 a 450 Honda that far. I went at least once a month, a little over a 1000
mile round trip on a weekend. So I looked for a better road bike, and
found
 my original Ambo....love soon ensued.
Now I ride my Ambo to out-of-state rallies, about 550 one way to Datil,
all
in a day. At least once a month I do a 300 mile loop to get my wife both
AZ
and CA lottery tickets. I often do it on a Sunday morning before going to
work.
Contrary to popular myth, the Loops are very reliable, and equally
important, easy to fix on the road.
