Count me in, Don't matter when or where, state park would be good.

You guys seem to have left out Detroit! C'mon we got everything. Numerous
rivers and beaches to swim and fish (just nevermind the warning signs),
Maybe we could rent out the old Tiger Stadium, walking distance from 10
corner bars!. Talk about twisties! You'll be ready to hit the sack after
testing your skills dodging the potholes on I-94! Oh, don't forget the
peaceful relaxing sounds of the city!
So c'mon, dig them kevlar vests out of the closet, strap on that ankle
holster and top off that fork oil, we're going to DETROIT!

Kev

If y'all are serious, I can start scouting location soon. Depending on how
many of us there would be, there are a number of places to use as "base
camp." Pocahontas is a pretty big county and I don't think there's a bad
motorcycle road in it. Snowshoe is about the only thing that brings traffic
into the area.

So here's what I need to know to get started:
1. how many people are seriously interested in attending?
2. what date/weekend/holiday/etc. would best fit into your plans?
3. should we use a motel or a state park as base camp (or other - the floor
is open for suggestions)?
4. interested in a concert or other event in the area that weekend? Maybe a
group ride on the famous "Cass Scenic Railroad" (their Heisler locomotive
has a giantic Guzzi-like cylinder layout)?
5. what should the ratio of riding-eating-drinking-site seeing-tire
kicking-sleeping be?

Just trying to get a feel for what the Loop Group would be most interested
in. Let me know what you think. Cheers,

Charlie

Hi Ian and all,

I've been pondering the "Loopframe National" location question as well.
I

know the folks in Pocahontas County, WV (southern part of the state)
would

welcome us with open arms. The CBX International rally is held in
Marlinton

(the county seat) and nearby Snowshoe Resort is the location for a big
all-brand rally each year.

It's probably best though to have it in conjunction with one of the
"regular" MGNOC rallies. I think if a big bunch of Loops showed up all
at

once to a major MGNOC Rally (or Open House) it would send a message to
Guzzi. I'm not sure how they would interpret the message though!

Maybe we should move the location to a different rally each year to see
more

of the country and let more of the country see us and our great Loops!
Or

each Looper could take a turn at hosting the Loop Group in his/her own
state. Nothing fancy, just a barbeque and a group ride, kind of like
this

 year.

Just some things to think about over the long, cold winter. Cheers,

Charlie

Charlie,

You and any other Looper out there are welcome to stay at my place
(when I

actually get one) anytime. I might be sharing my pad with a bunch of
female
roomates but I'm sure they won't mind scootin' over :-)

Our meeting in Salamanca was meant to be. OK....we were going to the
same

rally but the timing was perfect. Holding our impromptu reunion at the
gas

 station was a blast too.

I keep thinking that one of these days we will have to plan a Loop
National
meet. Dave and I have talked about this but the country is just so
dammed

big! Can you imagine 100+ Loops all in the same place at once?

By the way...anybody want to lay a guess as to how many Loops there
out

 there in North America?

Regards...Ian

Hi Ian,

Definitely heading down yonder this year! I don't care if the hold
the

 Open

House or not, I'm still going to explore the southern states more. I
have

real, honest to God, paid vacation this year and all!

It was just too cool this year the way we all accidently met at the
reservation gas station in Salamanca. What were the odds of that
happening!

As for the co-worker introductions, I have this to say: (in Homer
Simpsons

voice) Umm, cute, young counselors! Now I'm dreaming! :-) Cheers,

Charlie
