Scott,
I agre with Joe. Take all the rubber and plastic stuff off the carbs. Go
to auto parts store and buy gallon of carb cleaner for $10. Put all metal
carb parts in carb cleaner for a day or two. Just remember to keep all
floats, rubber float needles etc ou of carb cleaner as it will get eaten up.
The carbs should look like new after 24-48 hours. I have done this and it
