I wuz out riding. This is pretty good year so far. Especially nice for
being Iowa.
For a cheap source of packing foam, you might look at styrofoam
insulation available at Home Despot or the equivalent. 4'X8' sheets
(that's 1.2X2.4 m for you metric folks) are available in a number of
thicknesses (in addition to using cloth) which you could cut to fit odd
shapes.
As other's have said- use good straps. I think U-hauls have all sorts
of places to put hooks. If they have wood floors, then you can drill
your own if necessary.
You might also make a note to drain the gas from the bikes.
If you need a place to stay, we have a room (Eastern IA).
