The motel at Deals Gap is under new ownership & from what I have heard the
guy is doing a lot to fix the place up. I don't ride in that area very often
because of traffic, but I would guess a good two hours or better to get from
Tapoco to Gatlinburg, it involves ridding Deals Gap, not a bad way to get to
work if you have the time.
Cherokee would be the closest place to access the Parkway from Gatlinburg,
I'm thinking this ride could be done in 45 minutes or so, here again traffic
can be a problem so your time my vary.
The weekend you are arriving is when I am supposed to be away for a race but
the schedule is changing & right now I don't know if I'm going to make that
race or not.
Keep me posted of your plans & maybe we can hook up for a ride.
