Subject: Eldo Con Rod Question HELP

I am putting new rod bearings in my eldo and have hit a snag. All of my
manuals (haynes, chilton, factory) show a oil hole near the bottom of the
rod which feeds oil to the rod bearing. The hole is drilled at a angle
through the rod and matches up with the hole in the bearing. My rods do
not have these holes. I have looked at them closely and they are not
there. I have a old ambo rod, which has the holes. My eldo is a 74 model,
which has had a big bore kit installed by someone. Does anyone know why
these rods are missing the holes ?
