Zer,
Can't tell from your spelling or linguistics, are you saying Arai Quantum
are noisy? Curious, what do you think is the quietest full face? Bob

I like Arais. I have gone through 2 quantums. SPendy. noisy. You will
suffer
almost as much as wearing an open face hat if you dont wear ear plugs. new
shields top the price range too.

<soapbox>
But Arai has this year stopped allowing them to be sold mail order. That's
their perogative. But I can't see buying the product anymore. that's my
perogative.

Shoeis fit differently. The common knowledge is that you either have a
shoei
head or an arai head. I can't wear shoeis

I've looked at a couple nolans. They seem okay. but my understanding is
that
they need replacing more often because the fit and finish doesn't weear
well.

So my wife gave me a go out and buy a new helmet certificate for
Christmas. My old Shoei is probably 15 years old (yea, I know but I've
got

about 4 of them that old). Anyway I don't keep up on things like what is
current in the helmet world, so I'll ask you guys. Anyone have a favorite
at
the moment? I like the idea of the Nolan with the flip up chinguard so I
don't need to take my glasses off to get it on and off. Just need your
basic
solid black no thrills well fitting helmet. I tried a couple of Arai on
today
and Quantum and Signet and they felt pretty good. But any experiences
with

wind noise, fit and such would be helpful
Thanks for any kind of response,
Rich
