So whilst unbolting all the clutch parts from the flywheel, I noticed
some oil at the bottom of the clutch housing, engine-side. Must be that
the rear main seal is leaking; I think that I should replace both the
seal and rear bearing carrier. Might as well do everything since I'm
already in there. Are there any "watch out for" warnings in this job?

Reading up on the rear main seal in Guzziology, David R. recommends
removing the bearing carrier from the block using Guzzi's fancy puller.
I have a fancy harmonic balancer puller from Harbor Freight and Salvage
with I think will work as well. Then there is the Guzzi tool to help
put the seal back on of which I don't have a substitute. Do I really
need one?
