Gary,

My hat is off to you. You boldly stomp on the zany made up variations of
things that never really existed.
The one that gets me is the Lemans. Now I have heard them called all kinds
of things, but the name is right there on the #$^% bike! Particularly the
1000 Lemans. There is not a Roman numeral ANYWHERE on any of them. They are
not 4's or 5's. They are wicked fun machines though!
OK, I think I'm done now. :-)

Hunter

PS. Did I ever tell ya'll about my 97.5 Ford with the mid-year CD player?

As you may suspect it is one of those terms erroneously applied that
after years of use becomes a "REAL TRUTH" . They are titled as 74s
because they are 74s. My Chevy truck was built in October of 1997 , it
IS a 1998 truck . My Eldo Civilian was built in Oct 1973 it IS a 1974
and is plainly marked on the Federal ID tag 1974 MODEL YEAR as well as
the title.
