While we're on the subject, I have one of part no. 1212 2500, exhaust pipe
retaining band. It's in my Ambassador parts book on Plate 5 - number 35.
Basically it's a clamp that goes around the headpipe and attaches at the lower
crashbar bolt. Are these still available? Were they as effective as the other
types? I like the idea of using them vs. the other type because they don't
interrupt the visual flow of the 'pipes along the frame next to the engine and
they wouldn't mar the paint on the frame. Might have some made up in stainless
if need be. Cheers,

Charlie

From time to time, I have seen some loopframe bnikes with
header-to-frame clamps that aslmost look like solid billet clamps,
compared to the ones on most loopframes, like mine, which are flat strap
type clamps. Does anyone know where these "billet" type clamps can be
bought?
