Indeed. I always make a point of stopping but have been amazed
myself at the number of riders who have passed while I've been on the
side of the road. Last year I had my KLR650, which was fully loaded
for a camping trip, practically pulled down to the frame trying to
track down an electrical gremlin. No fewer than twenty riders passed
me by. On the other hand, while on the side of the road in Georgia
replacing the clutch cable on my LeMans, a guy as old as sin pulled
over in a pickup and asked if he could give my a tow home. When I
clued him in that home was New Jersey he asked if I had all the tools
I needed.

Jim, all we can do is continue to stop to help a fellow motorcyclist in need
and hope that those missing the point take notice..
