Fred:
The little o-rings that Cookie is talking about are available from
Moto Int'l for about ten bucks, I think. I've just finished putting them
in my '69 and have used them in my '71, they work pretty well. They're
apparently an odd size, are considered an upgrade, and come with
instructions. If you insist on using the cone seal, they point towards
the engine. Install from the throwout bearing side.

a stack of 4 or 5 "O" rings work better, and longer than the OEM rubber
cones. i can't remember what size they are exactly, and having just looked
it up in Guzziology, and not finding the answer there i think a bit of
experimentation may be called for.

maybe another on the list can advise on size?

Hi all,

From which end (throwout bearing or input hub) is it best to install the
clutch pushrod, and which way do those little rubber cones point?

TIA and see you at Camp Carlo
