Here's the March issue folks!
Club Stuff:
Not too much new news for March. I wanted to get this
issue out in a
timely manner in order to REMIND everyone of the Lunch Meet
at Lowery's
Restaurant in Tappahannock on 3 March. I have my fingers
crossed for good
weather. I mean, what are the odds it'll sleet and storm
four years in a
row? Come on? Right? We're due for a break this year. It
has to be nicer
than last year! I'll see you all there at 11:00 a.m. We'll
probably have a
table in the back, so just come on in and look for us! This
meet kicks off
the riding season and I hope to see many of you there!
As I sit here writing this on the 24th of Feb. My bum leg
has been giving
me an inordinate amount of grief for the last week. I
really wanted to make
the Richmond Breakfast this morning. But it just wasn't in
the cards. I
almost talked myself into it thinking that the cold would
numb the pain in
my leg, but I somehow regained some common sense. ;-) I
have really been
wanting to get out for a proper ride on the V11S, but it'll
have to wait
until next Sunday and the trip to Tappahannock. I'll make
that ride even it
means taking a bottle of Motrin with me.
Ron K. sent me the following info on Moto Guzzi Day, the
Open House of MGNA
in Angiers NC. Moto Guzzi Day 2002 is scheduled for April
28th. at the MGNA headquarters in
Angier NC. "The celebration is to show our appreciation for
the people who
ride & sell our bikes" according to Alex DiBagno General
Manager of MGNA.
Featured will be:
a bike raffle, demo rides, door prizes, a judged motorcycle

show.
Professional photos of riders w/their bikes, & a
hamburger/hotdog lunch.
More info can be found at www.motoguzzi-us.com or call
(919) 639-3180. I
know this event is a big deal. But personally, I don't
appreciate them
holding it on the date of the MD/DC Rally. That Rally was
announced some
time ago. Strikes me as pretty cheesy to do that on short
notice. So I'll be
at the MD/DC Rally that weekend and I'll do a report on it
here. I know many
of you will make it to MG Day. Please send along a ride
report on it for me
to publish here to let us all know how it went! Thanks!
...Rich
