I was pulled over once for having a white tail light
lens.
I knew the female cop (a lady who used to be a friend
of my sister's when they were kids) She let me go. I
cleaned the lens and painted it (with a small brush on
the inside) with testors red lens paint for model
cars. It comes in the little glass bottles in the
hobby shops. They have amber also. I did two Eldos
this way and it has been a permanent and nice looking
fix. Just paint it in the crevices neatly with even
stokes.

Hi all,

Can youse guys remember back to the time, long ago,
when we talked about
dying the tailight lenses for ambos and eldos?

I think it was Pat Hayes who recommended placing the
lenses in hot water
with some kind of a red dye. I don't remember.. CRS
disease!

So, anyone know how to make a faded lens red again?

Thanks!!
