Hi Bruce and all,
I installed a set of "velocity stacks" on a customers bike with K&Ns ( the
oval-shaped, angled inlet style) recently. To clean and oil them I just loosened
the clamp on the left filter and turned it 180 degrees on the velocity stack. The
"top" (part that says "K&N" on these) will be towards the rear of the bike now
instead of toward the other filter. You'll have to squeeze it past the other
filter and it's easier with the battery out, but it's much easier than pulling a
carb. Just a thought,

Charlie.

But itmakes it even more difficult to remove/replace the filters with thecarbs
attached to the motor; neither filter can be removed or replaced.I've resorted to
removing one carb from the engine to allowremoval/replacement of the filters.
