Subject: Good ground connections

There was a thread last week regarding ground connections to the
frame/battery tray, etc... I had a unique form of a wire brush pointed out
to me not long ago and thought it might be of interest to those on the
list. The people I know use it to create a clean and neat area to bond
grounding connections to painted or powdercoated telephone equipment racks
(in telecom you must do this kind of thing well and correctly, or you won't
do it very long!).

This tool is called a "Shank-mounted Pilot bonding wire end brush". It
is essentially a wire brush where a pilot shaft goes completely through the
bush and it pilots you into an existing threaded hole. They wires of the
brush are bound so they will not splay and mess up the surrounding area.
All brushes have 1/4" shafts with pilot diameters of 3/32 through 1/4",
brush diameters of 1/2", 3/4" or 1". Product can be found on page 2480 of
the McMaster-Carr catalog, on line athttp://www.mcmaster.com/

Now can we do a little group bonding?
