While replacing all the fuel lines on my Eldo (used 7 mm line - does
that sound right?), I decided that I needed to get around to adjusting
the throttle cable. Last year I had to use some electrical tape to
attach the end of the throttle sleeve to the throttle on the handlebar
because there was too much slack in the cable - a new cable and it
stretched out a bit. I found that the throttle sleeve would hang up
and prevent the carbs from idling correctly.

So I spend about 45 minutes adjusting the cable because I had to remove
the tank to gain access to the adjusting nut on the throttle splitter
(stock setup). And when I put the tank back on, I would loose the slack
at the carbs because the cables were routed differently. My question is
that can the throttle (and choke cables) be adjusted with the tank
remaining on the bike? My fingers and tools just don't seem small
enough to do this.

And while all this was going on I just had to replace all the crimp-on
butt connectors (4) and splicers (1) with solder connections and shrink
wrap. Don't remember seeing them before but they just had to go!
