Alright Andrew!! Even a short first ride of the
year is better than no ride. I went out to the
barn to check the Eldo and install the charged
battery, hoping to fire it up and go for a spin.
Unfortunately, too much ice from barn to
road nixxed my plans. Still supposed to
be cold here in western Wisconsin for a few
more days, but the weekend is gonna be nice.
By then the ice should be gone and I will be on
the road.

hi gang!
yesterday i made it all the way to the road from the barn before i
realized
that something was very wrong. my front tire was flat! i had just aired
them
up a month or so back. no obvious puncture wounds, so i aired it up again,
listened carefully, and blasted off. man, to hear those macs again!
glory!!!
lots of dirt & gravel on the roads, but still- nice to be riding!
anyhow, my good 'ol cheng sins are in need of replacing already. they
MAY
be good enough for another half season, but i think the flat was an omen.
i'm learning to listen when the eldo speaks! so, going against tradition
[cheng sin tradition], i ordered a pair of continentals from tires
unlimited. they are the TK11 &TK12, the ones everybody calls "bmw tires".
hope they last as long as the 'sins did! [8000 mi.]
later on!
andy
