Oh Man.....a blown L5 disc is not good.
From ortho and neuro docs I know, surgical
repair is a 50/50 proposition. If you haven't
already, I would exhaust all non surgical Rx,
PT, Pain Specialists(Anethesiologist who
will do steroid/anti-inflammatory epidural injection.)
Surgery would be a last resort. Be cautious of
surgeons who promise a quick cure with the knife.
It is a long haul, with varied results. Good luck.

Hi All'
Like the rest of you fine Guzzi folks I have been anxiously
awaiting
warmer weather so I could start riding my new/old '74 LAPD. I planned on
tuning and tweaking this week. Unfortunately I have had a blowout of the
L5
disc in my back and maybe more, I see the Neurosurgeon wednesday to find
out
my options. I hope at least one of the options includes me riding again
soon. Wish me luck.
