I had one that had a constant leak. Try some Teflon tape. The threads in
the Trans case might be worn away causing the oil to get past the plug.
The Teflon tape cleared mine up.

Several months ago I had posted a message that I thought I had a leak in
between the engine and tranny case, but it turned out to be the tranny
drain plug leaking gear oil, which works its way down the case and ended
up at the oil pan gasket, from which it dripped to the floor. My
mechanic friend installed a new plug and gasket, and for months at his
shop while it sat there, there wasn't a hint of a leak. Well, after
riding it home, it has reared its ugly head again. The drain plug is
wet, and gear oil is also running down the case like it was before and
dripping to the ground. Has anybody experienced this problem and if so
how did you fix it?
