Good Morning All,

Patience is near road readiness, all is done, just waiting on the seat
to be finished (being re-covered), should be done today. Will learn to
live with the slow oil leak, perhaps will tend to it this coming winter.
In the meantime, I have a question about the forks. When I changed the
fork oil about 2 weeks ago, I was baffled that there was no fork springs
in the upper halves of the fork tubes. In all of my previous bikes that
I have owned, I always took great caution pulling off those top caps in
fear that the load of the springs would shoot that cap nut into my
forehead, as it did a friend of mine whom was knocked out cold! I
looked into the forks and saw that way down in there on the bottom 30%
of the forks there was a hole for the fork oil to enter and figured
that's where all the guts of the forks must be. Still found it strange
not to have springs in the upper halves of the fork tubes. I just went
over to loopframe.com to check out the parts pics breakdown of the forks
and did indeed see a fork spring! So what's up, am I supposed to have
fork springs or not? If yes, what would y'all recommend? I use to use
Progressive fork springs in all of my BMW's.

Thanx. Have a Great Day All!
