Reading Guzziology (page 20-6), I see that the early bikes

rotating applications. Therefore, is it desirable to stack two seals in
each
leg?

I got new seals from MG cycle, and they looked different from the ones
that came out, in that they had a second lip to act as a dust seal. The
seal gets crammed between the seal holder and the fork lower when the
two parts are threaded together, so I don't think 2 seals would fit
anyway.

The only other place it might leak would be the drain screws or the
o-ring between the seal holder and the lower.
