Hi all!

Mike Cho in San Francisco here. It's been a long time since I've written
in (but I've been checking in from time to time to see what everyone has
been up to).

I have to admit, I recently purchased a 1972 Norton Commando so I've
been busy working and getting that into tip top shape....but it's nice
knowing that my trusty Eldo is what I always take to get to the parts
shop for the Norton!

I was wondering if anyone out there had a situation that I'm having. My
speedo isn't working but the odometer is counting the miles just fine.
For a while there, the speedo needle would flop around at high speeds
but a few months ago, it just fell to one side and hasn't moved since.
I'm thinking it's the internal gears of the speedo.

I'm debating whether to have it repaired (the speedo only shows 20k
miles and is in pretty great shape visually) or purchase a used one from
a local shop for $100 with 35k miles showing (it's labeled for a V7 but
I assume that it's the same as my 1974 Eldo??)

Anyone ever get one fixed or have similar trouble? On the other hand,
anyone got a good used one that I might consider if the repair estimate
is too high?

Thanks and it's good to be back!

Mike
