Ross, None of us will argue that the bikes are undervalued. I think that
most folks that own them don't care all that much about originality,
(although my Ambo is pretty much as it left the factory) but would rather
ride them instead of showing them. As far as asking prices, you can only ask
(if you want to sell) what the buyers in the market will pay. I'm not
knocking Moe in the least, he (as does Mark) has a business to run and it is
my understanding that he is selling the bike for one of his clients. My note
was made sort of tongue in cheek as I was seriously surprised that it was
up this high having watched them on EBay for the last couple of years. I
would have expected the bidding to top out around $7-8K.

Moe is just trying to get back some of the cost of a full
restoration. And
original Lucas reflectors of the kind used on Loops are a bitch to
find.
Besides, our loops are undervalued and that is our fault. One for
destroying
originality, two for not saving the parts we replaced(see one), and
three
for not asking more in the first place.
