Hi Andy,
My tire wear is excellent, with the Conti Blitz fronts lasting 12,000 miles and the rear Conti-Tour nearing replacement time with 10,000 miles on it. Probably will replace it with another 'Tour before the WNY Rally.

Shouldn't have to mess with the brake cross shaft at all for swingarm removal. While you have the swingarm out you might move the brake stay rod to the outer side of it's mount (on the swingarm) for the extra clearance most 120s require. Cheers,

Charlie

 Charlie-
thanks! i take it that your tire wear is acceptable? btw, how impossible
is it to remove the swingarm with the brake- cross-shaft in place? or should
i just remove that, too? [gotta check out the carrier bearing & u-joint-
something is 'buzzing' in there].
