How many brownie points does it take to get the secret decoder ring? (a
little NYC loop sarcasim)

Here are the measurements:
Length - 7.64 centimeters
Outer Diameter - 2.8 centimeters
Inner Diamater - 2.03 centimeters (probably a useless measurement, but when
I mentioned to my mechanical engineer brother at mother's day dinner that I
was heading to the garage to measure something, out came the Vernier
calipers and he went nuts).

As for Dave's loop...

So while tooling away at the saturday afternoon wrench/hang trying to get
the honda cb750 running (guzzi is still in pieces, triumph's gas tank is
still at the painters) Senor Washburn rolls up on the completed shiney eldo.
Well every friend that passed by stopped to congratulate me on my beautful
guzzi and asked me how I finished the bike so quickly (thinking it was my
loop). Then I would sheepishly point to the sheet covering the powdercoated
frame in my garage where my loop lie. Much work to be done. Few could
believe that Dave's was a 30 year old bike. And there is nothing better
while in the middle (not quite the middle, perhaps the first trimester) of a
rebuild to ride the finished product. It was my first introduction to that
tuned guzzi sound and while supposedly not completely "dialed in", the 950
SP motor is tremendous and the bike rode beautifuly. As a drum brake triumph
rider, I was impresed by the front disc brake - quite happy I am putting 2
on mine. I'm also a big fan of the Stephen Brenton adapter for "regular
shifting". Now all I have to do is turn the pile of parts I have into a
running loop...

Lates,
Chris Mitchell

Guzzi-newbie Chris Mitchell, this is your chance to earn some brownie
points. After you give Ron those measurements you can tell the world
how special my bike is since you are the only lister to see/ride it
apart from me.

David
