Hello,

My name is Mark Wolf and I just joined this list. I'm an Aircraft Mechanic
by trade and "play" with motorcycles as a hobby. I just bought my Moto
Guzzi 2 weeks ago. It is a much neglected, but complete '71 Ambassador. It
needs a lot of TLC, but I think it has a lot of potential to be a nice bike.
I'm primarily a sportbike guy, but I've always had a thing for Italian
cars/bikes and I love an interesting project.

A few weeks ago I was driving in my truck and noticed an old motorcycle for
sale in someones front yard. I stopped and was surprised to find it was a
Moto Guzzi. I decided I had to have it and a deal was struck. The bike is
complete, but currently not running. It has never been crashed, though at
some point in it's life it received a few dents in the tank.

Here are a few pics of the bike, taken the day I brought it home:

I don't know a lot about Guzzi's (yet) so I'm not sure if I got a decent
deal or not. The bike doesn't run but has never been wrecked and is 100%
complete, minus the headlight bulb. It has 26,000 miles and came with
original owners manual and overhaul manuals. I paid $400 for the bike.

I'm currently building a new house, so I won't be starting the project until
after I move. Until then I'll be gathering as much inso as I can about the
bike and determining what course I want the project to take. Currently my
goal is a nice looking bike that I can take for occasional cruise around
town.

Mark
