Mark,

What is the serial number of the bike?

By the way...you found yourself a jewel and the price was indeed a steal.
You will be amazed how nicely that bike will clean up and the fact that it
is all original makes it valuable in my opinion.

Regards...Ian

Thanks guys, it's good to know I got a decent deal. When I stopped to look
at the bike the guy wanted $1000 for it. I had no idea what it was worth,
and really couldn't spend more than $400 for what was really an
impulse buy.
I really didn't think he'd accept less than half his asking price, but he
did.

I'm trying to determine if my bike is a '70 or a '71. It is
titled as a '71
but the reference material I have found so far says a '71 should have a
speedo/tach and a heal/toe shifter. My bike has only a
speedometer and does
not have a heel/toe shifter. The build date on the frame is July
1970. Is it
a '71 or actually a '70 titled as a '71?

Thanks,
Mark Wolf
