Ian,
First, I apologize for misspelling your last name. It was a 50/50
coin toss between Atkins & Adkins, and I mistakenly decided you were
Chet's son. Second, as you know it's all in fun. It's just that you
make me crazy riding around on that gorgeous motorcycle with those
cobbled up dang saddlebags! However, since my Wixoms are in the
garage with crash damage, and not even on my bike, who am I to talk!
To those about to inquire, no I don't want to sell them, or the
latches. If anybody has an extra set of latches, however, I'll
furnish Ian's home address to you! Anybody who knows anyone who can
do fiberglass repair on Wixom bags affordably, let me know.

Dennis...Dennis...Dennis,

You are such a funny guy :-) Actually....my bungee cord latching
mechanism
has proved to be a great (and inexpensive) system that has kept the
lids of
the bags tight for many miles. The nice multi-coloured cords add a
little
personality too :-)

I love the ribbn' though :-)

Ian

Richard,
Perhaps Ian Atkins can contribute to your dilemma here. Ian has some
marvelous ideas on latching mechanisms for Wixom Saddlebags. The
guy's a regular engineering wizard when it comes to them there
latches. :-)
