first off, bob hawkes showed up here last sat. on his ambo. man, it was
great to hear a goose coming up the street! he says he really misses this
list, but is having all sorts of probs. re-subbing.
bob had [or has] a virus prob. in his 'puter. it's a replicator, i think a
benjamin worm- very insiduous. anyone on his mass-mailing list, including
ian adkins, pete sheer, zerhackman, etal, you guys , if you don't make a
practice of it, DO run a full system scan, 'cause this lil' bugger hides
pretty well in the background, and raises cain. it sends all sorts of
plausible looking stuff out using other peoples names, for instance, it sent
one used my address to someone else, and the attachment was supposidly a pic
of a guzzi stone.
bob thinks that he's got his system cleaned- i hope so!
hope to get this truck engine prob. done in time to boogie to the wny
rally fri. seems like i've been living under hoods lately. only ride i got
in was in the snow- sheesh! hard to pass on wny- the entertainment value is
pretty high! heeheehee!
