cause of that again? I noticed my eldo does that just a

I think that one of the reasons was that the throwout bearing on the
clutch pushrod may be going south. You might put your ear down there
while someone else pulls in the clutch , unless you have very long arms.

 Also, can you have an oil leak from the head gasket? I
replaced my o-rings on the top of my right head but it
still leaks a tiny bit between the head and cylinder.
There's a plug that covers the nut (you need an allen wrench for the nut
) for the short stud on the pushrod side of the head. Chances are that
this is where your leak starts; a new aluminum washer under it, some
teflon tape, or your favorite hi temp sealer will work.
