My big bore eldo blows a fair amount of oil out of the curved pipe
on the bottom of my crancase breather, enough to coat the bellhousing by
the neutral switch .Is this normal?Should i have a piece of tubing
attached to this pipe.I see vintage racebikes with the crankcase
breather running into a bottle.Wondering if i should do same.

Go to the auto parts store and get about 2 feet of 15/32 (12mm) rubber
emissions hose. Route it from the nipple on the breather box around the
left side of the trans over to the right side of the bike, right around
where the clamp is for the right muffler. There may be a bracket ther
for the tube, if not a couple of cable ties to the frame or tranny mount
will do the trick. Use black cable ties, the regular natural nylon ones
won't stand up to the sun's UV rays. If you have a lot of oil dripping
from the tube after this you wil need to put in a new breather box or
order up the later ball check valve to go in between the engine and the
breather.

Also,i get
some vibration in my right footboard from the u joint. At speeds around
80 my foot slides back constantly from the vibration, like one of those
old football games where you line up the men then turn on the power and
watch em scramble around the board. If i replaced u joint &carrier
bearing would this eliminate the vibration altogether?Up to about
65-70,the vibration isnt too bad at all.Dont really want to tear into it

unless absolutely necessary.Thanks.Let me know if yours blows
oil&vibrates too.

Do yourself a favor and order up a new carrier bearing and U-joint.
Sorry to say, but these bikes are a bit harsh on U-joints due to the
lack of a cush drive. Pull everything apart from the trans on back.
Clean all the splines with a brass brush and some brake cleaner until
they are clean enough to eat from. Make sure the splines aren't
excessively worn. Paint up the splines with some Honda Moly 60 paste or
some heavy duty moly grease. When you put the u-joint back in the
carrier bearing use some locktite (red will work if heated slightly, or
you can use the green bearing retaining stuff) to hold them together.

If you're getting that much vibration, something is seriously wrong. My
bike has new parts, and no u-joint induced vibration at all, even at 80+
MPH..
