HI All,
I remember someone in the past posting about rebuilding their petcocks
with a some gas resistant rubber bushings that they stamped out of a
sheet. Does anyone remember the details, or if there is a commercially
available rebuild kit? I would really like to replace these
petcocks(with a quality petcock like BMW ones), but don't want to weld,
or remove any parts of my tank as someone else had suggested. Oh well,
any input is greatly appreciated.
Also, the heads on my bike are original(no bronze valve guides etc), so
do I need to run a lead substitute? What octane rating gas are most of
you putting in the tank?
