Thanks for the photos John. Sorry we missed you. I rode up sunday with some
people. I only had a throwaway. I have no idea if they will turn out. I'll
have to dig out the real camera for mid ohio.
What a great day. Seeing those old bikes on the track was just fucking
awsome(sorry, no other word to describe it). I felt like a kid. When we
first arrived, we could hear the bikes roaring around the track. We pulled
up to the fence, shut the bikes down to watch the race. Let me tell you,
When I saw that Indian ROAR past us with that tank shift I had goosebumps,
and was like a giddy little kid. I was yelling out GO!MAN!GO! As I turn to
share my excitement with my girl I noticed she was looking at me with a
mixture of confusion and the look like I just confirmed to her that I was
nuts. Don't know who was on that thing but it set the tone for the whole
day.
Finally met Ken Pitts. Great Guy. The bike certainly ain't pretty but that's
exactly what I liked about it. The thing has one purpose in it's life and
that's to get Ken to the finish line as quick as possible. Took 1st twice?!
Congrats! Damn, there's nothing better than seeing a loop tear up a track!
I do regret not meeting the MG guys. Gordon I heard you were there, I looked
around a couple of times but no dice. I did see the bike, nobody around. One
of those things. Maybe another time.
I don't know enough about all the racers to give a full run down, but it
really seemed that Guzzi won the day that weekend.

Gundlach. There's a few others in there too. I missed Ken Pitts's race,
sorry Ken.
I didn't stay for Sunday, only Saturday. Too hot for me. The guys racing
were really cooking out there.
